In the beautiful town of Knutsford, lying within the Leigh Road conservation area, a dilapidated, locally listed Mock Tudor Villa has been completely renovated. Starting with the original house at Firwood, we replaced the entire roof and reconfigured the interior layout, and you’ll now find a rear extension with a roof terrace leading off the master suite and a garage with a hobby room above it. The house was underpinned to create a new basement complete with a nightclub and cinema room, adding to the glamour of this statement home. Complementing the main building is a stunning new pavilion with a dramatically cantilevered roof which houses an impressive lounge and swimming pool.

The interior design at Firwood is sleek and full of design-led features. The cantilevered Jerusalem stone staircase with its bespoke bronze burnished balustrade and American black walnut handrail takes centre stage in the double height entrance hall. Oversized American black walnut doors provide a sense of grandeur, while Skyframe minimalist sliding doors in the swimming pool pavilion offer virtually uninterrupted views of the garden. The traditional craftsmanship is evident throughout the house with dry stone walling in the landscaped garden, a standing seam zinc roof over the pavilion, mitred travertine tiling and unique, custom skirting and architrave profiles. The end result is of uncompromising quality.
