WHERE STYLE MEETS SUBSTANCE
It's always exciting when we're commissioned to work on a project which marries the beauty of modern design with the practicalities of a running an economical home - and it's even better if it incorporates eco-friendly considerations too. It makes it a complete project. Enlisted by a local architect to construct a low carbon, modest sized home for him and his wife, this architecturally-designed new build in Mossley Hill, Allerton, was a fantastic project for us and one we're incredibly proud of.
"As an architect designing my own home, it was of upmost importance that I engaged the services of the right building contractor for the job. From the outset Paul Wickstead showed extreme enthusiasm for the contemporary design and eco-friendly concepts. Having now lived here for a number of years, I am extremely happy with the result. Paul and his team worked to a tight programme and delivered a top quality finish within our budget that I was totally satisfied with."- Andrew Brown, Architect
The contemporary design drew inspiration from modernist architecture featuring simple, pure lines and included stylish touches such as powder coated aluminium windows and doors, bespoke cabinetry, an atrium lantern and a skylight over the stairwell. Not only aesthetically very pleasing, Modern House is packed with eco-friendly features, from a green Sedum roof to solar power for hot water and a heat recovery ventilation system.
