A STYLISH SPACE TO ENJOY THE GOLDEN YEARS
Our clients initially bought a tired-looking bungalow situated in Wrightington close to Parbold Hill, with the intention of extending and remodeling before settling into early retirement. However, their plans had to dramatically change when a survey identified that the property was slowly subsiding. After careful consideration they put their retirement plans on hold and enlisted our help to demolish the existing building and construct a brand new one-and-a-half-storey home with flexible accommodation. From the outside the through coloured render and cedar clad walls give this stylish property a contemporary look which is complemented further by the dark grey windows, door and trim detail.
"Working in collaboration with Paul Wickstead and our architect, we were able to ensure that the property was built to a very high standard, within budget and ahead of schedule. Throughout the eight months of the build all at Wickstead Developments worked in an extremely professional manner to ensure the success of our project. Our new home has exceeded our expectations."- Mr & Mrs Padmore, Retired Business Owners
Inside, the ground floor consists of two guest bedroom suites for visiting friends, children and grandchildren, a living room, an open plan kitchen and a dining and family room. Step up the custom-made oak and glass staircase to the next floor and you'll discover a master suite with a much-coveted walk in dressing room and en suite bathroom. The bed faces the glazed gable with a Juliet balcony overlooking the newly-landscaped gardens and far-reaching views of the valley beyond. Retirement began for our clients once the build of their new 'forever home' was complete, and despite the change in plan, both us, and the clients are delighted with the finished result.
